Discovery Foundation Awards

The Discovery Foundation The Discovery Foundation strives to improve South Africa’s health by awarding bursaries to doctors who are appropriately specialized and who are based in disadvantaged areas. The annual Discovery Foundation Book pays tribute to the winners.  In the 2013 edition, the book was presented with a combination of illustrated art and photography – a theme which had been successfully applied in previous years. The bursary-winning doctors are presented as the heroes of the book, the illustrations tells the story of the doctor's field research and specializations.
